Thornton Manor Wedding Photography

Chris & Steph's epic Thronton Manor wedding day

The Preparations

My first time for Thornton Manor Wedding Photography saw me meeting Steph and her bridesmaids at a hotel just a short drive away from Thornton Manor where they were being well and truly pampered. Chris and the boys were staying just down the corridor, so it was great to be able to spend time with the guys to capture their side of the morning. No poses, just natural, relaxed and unobtrusive wedding photography.

The Ceremony

Steph finished her preparations at Thornton Manor, making use of their stunning bridal suite. I arrived at the venue shortly before Steph to capture guests boarding the vintage bus that was to take them all to the church. Shortly after the guests headed off, Steph arrived and it was time for her to get into the dress. After making her way down the staircase for her mum, dad and friends to see her for the first time, it was off to the church.

Chris was waiting nervously and even shed a little tear if I’m not mistaken while his bride made her way towards him. Their church was a large grand building, with the most incredible light and beautiful architecture and their ceremony was personal and relaxed with a good humoured vicar.

Reception at Thornton Manor

After the ceremony is was back to the venue for more Thornton Manor wedding photography and for what turned out to be one of the best wedding receptions I have had the pleasure to be part of. After the guests enjoyed some drinks in the grounds, it was into the grand hall for the wedding breakfast, but not just any wedding breakfast. Steph and Chris had hired Paul Guard to entertain the wedding party in-between courses and what an amazing experience it was. Paul had everyone on their feet, from sing-offs, to dance-offs to literally everyone up and dancing, great fun to photograph.

After the wedding breakfast was time for Steph and Chris to have a few minutes to themselves…..with me not too far away. Its was at this point in my Thornton Manor Wedding Photography where I left the newly married couple to have some space where they could take in everything from the day. Therefore no poses, just natural and relaxed wedding photography. Its was then back inside for their impressive first dance, crazy dance moves and caricatures.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience of Thornton Manor Wedding Photography and am looking forward to getting back there again in the future.
